Nancie Atwell is “one of the most highly respected educators in the U.S. and across the world.†The focus of this work is centered around Atwell's book, The Reading Zone. Each participant will receive a copy of this book in order to discuss research and practices related to student choice and the Reading Workshop Model.  Learner’s Edge graduate credits are available to those who choose to engage in additional discussion and design classroom products outside of the five early release professional development sessions.
